The building was constructed in 1896 as the Pathological Department and the doors closed in 1969 when the building was no longer required. Ms. Terpening guided the group through the museum’s restricted sections and described some of the problems the museum encounters, including space and funding. Currently, the museum is searching for a grant to help pay for full-time staff. Full-time staff will enhance the museum’s ability to serve the Indianapolis community. Tour attendee, Joe Wehlacz offered a few suggestions. Attendance was strong we had around 18 people. We have a couple of new members in our midst and well as a few guest of current members. The setting was a great for casual conversations and networking. For those of you lucky enough to try one of the lavish desserts or wishing you’d been there to indulge - here is a link to the Whimsical Whisk. We hope you will be available to attend our next event.
